About the School

The Chinese Language School teaches reading, writing, and conversational Cantonese while providing a loving and caring Christian environment for children, and youth from the age of 5 to 18.

Sessions usually begin in mid-August or beginning of September and end in May.

The 2023-2024 School Year

Our new school year will begin on Saturday, August 19th, 2023. Classes are offered in Cantonese on Saturday mornings for student ages from 5 to 18. Each class is 2 hours long, 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. In addition to the Chinese language, students will also learn about Chinese culture, customs, and traditional values through these classes.

Placement is done according to the Chinese language knowledge of each student. Learning Chinese in listening, speaking, characters recognition, character combinations, writing, and reading are taught in a step-by-step way. Courses are practical because they include instructions with hands-on activities, such as conversation practice.
